Welcome to Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter of Las Vegas (DGLV)!
Who We Are
DGLV was offically founded in 1987, but became inactive in the late 90s. During the fall of 2007, a small group of women, with renewed spirit and vigor, decided to revive the once active chapter. In July of 2008, MaryAnne Lachenmaier and Alice Ashmore, two alumnae specialists from Executive Offices, flew to Las Vegas and presented the newly formed group with another charter. Since that time, we have seen tremendous growth and are proud to represent more than 350 Delta Gammas of all ages and backgrounds here in the Las Vegas valley. We all share a love of Delta Gamma that extends beyond our collegiate days. While many things in life may change - career, marital status, and interests, Delta Gamma is always there, always accessible, and always a part of all of us. So, whether you are a long-time Las Vegas resident or are new to the area, reconnecting with your sorority will be fun and fulfilling. Join our chapter, meet new people, socialize, and have fun!
What We Do
The purpose of DGLV is to provide an opportunity for alumnae living in the Las Vegas area to continue the enriching experience provided through Delta Gamma. Membership in DGLV provides opportunities to:
- meet new women
- reconnect with old friends
- give back to the Las Vegas community
- raise funds for our Foundation of Sight Conservation and Aid to the Blind
- continuously support our Fraternity

Delta Gamma Mission Statement
Delta Gamma offers to women of all ages a rich heritage based on principles of personal integrity, personal responsibility and intellectual honesty. Its primary purpose is to foster high ideals of friendship, promote educational and cultural interests, create a true sense of social responsibility, and develop the finest qualities of character.
The objects of this Fraternity shall be to foster high ideals of friendship among college women, to promote their educational and cultural interests, to create in them a true sense of social responsibility and to develop in them the best qualities of character.
Delta Gamma's primary purpose is to create an environment for its members in which lasting friendships are established and in which members find the processes, the experiences and the disciplines that will stimulate clear thought. Its aim is to foster an atmosphere in which women will develop a deeper love and consideration for mankind, a more profound understanding of the purpose of life and a basic wisdom upon which to build their lives.
Delta Gamma's purpose is accomplished through planned collegiate and alumnae programs that provide intellectual motivation, the opportunity for graciousness in daily living, and community awareness which will enrich the lives of members and instill in them a respect for the enduring values to be gained from the Fraternity.

"Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way" -- it's a quote that I try to live by on a daily basis; one that reminds me not to move so fast that I miss out on all the blessings and opportunities around me.
As we begin this new year, I challenge each of us to stop and enjoy those things that we've missed out on because we've been too busy to take advantage of them. Perhaps one of those things is your participation in DGLV, and if that's the case, I want to let you know that we have plenty of opportunities for you to get charged up and plugged in this new year!
We've purposefully scheduled a diverse list of events at various times on weekend and week days so there should be at least one or two events where you might be able to join us for some great fellowship! We have such an awesome group of women involved with DGLV - I've personally formed some pretty strong bonds with several of you - and I urge you to get involved so the same can happen for you! Remember, we're Delta Gammas for life, not just through college. My involvement with the Fraternity has only increased the longer I've been out of school, and I have to tell you that these past few years in DGLV have been some of the most meaningful for me.
I look forward to seeing many new faces this new year and, of course, can't wait to catch up with the familiar ones! Please feel free to reach out to me or any of the other Executive Board officers with suggestions, comments, or even just to say hello and introduce yourself! I'll be happy to savor this journey right alongside you!
